"Looking for a horsetail", "8 akys ir ausys" gallery, Vilnius, Lithuania
If I speak to strawberry from the supermarket, will we be able to understand each other or are we too distant already? If I braid a wreath, will I know where to use it? Will I recognise the horsetail if I see it/him/her? The works of the exhibition arose from the desire to remember, discover and get to know one's biological environment and to discover the plants and animals growing nearby.
Delving into folklore, the historical meaning of plants and searching for a personal connection with the natural world of Vilnius, the multi-colored ceramic series "Raizgės", acrylic paintings, and flags dyed with natural vegetable dyes were created using the traditional textile dyeing techniques.
